Southern Cross Pipes and Drums was reformed in 1993 and was originally under the name of Bankstown Pipe Band. Under this name many competitions were won, there were TV appearances as well as appearances at major sporting events. We also continued playing in the community playing mainly for marches but also other types of performances. In the year 2000, the band won their first Australian Championship. Then in 2006, the band travelled to Scotland competing in the world competition and came tenth. In 2007, we moved to be supported by Liverpool Catholic Club and changed our name to what it is now called; Southern Cross Pipes and Drums. Since 2000 we have continued to win a further four championships in excess of 60 state titles.

We still pride ourselves in supporting community events whenever possible and have over 25 pipers and over 15 drummers that include sides, tenors and bass drummers ready to play for you.

As we are still currently supported and sponsored by Liverpool Catholic Club, we are often playing for their events so have a look out for us. You can also see our upcoming events on the calendar page.
